The story of a great pair
The Air Jordan is more than just a model, it is "the" pair of the last thirty years. With a muse such as the illustrious basketball player of the Chicago Bulls, Michael Jordan, this pair of Nike has evolved with the times by becoming one of the best-selling pairs of basketball in recent years.
The brand has diversified over time and has partnered with renowned designers, including the late and great Virgil Abloh for his Off-White brand.
A fruitful collaboration
Jordan Brand and Virgil Abloh have teamed up once again (following the success of previous collaborations) to release the third silhouette in their history with the Jordan 4 Retro Off-White Sail (W). After teasing the release of the Off-White 4 with samples in his MCA show and showcasing them in his Off-White FW2020 Women's Show, Virgil Abloh finally delivered what was probably THE most anticipated release of 202P
Details worthy of the greatest
The late Virgil Abloh, who passed away on November 28, 2021 from cancer, came up with a cream leather Air Jordan 4, paired with translucent components like the heel tab and mesh. The whole is contrasted by black details like the inscriptions of the signature Off-White and the Jumpman logo on the tongue tag. A white midsole and a cream outsole finish off the minimalist design.
A lucrative investment
Upon its arrival in stores on Saturday, July 25, 2020, the pair was released at a price of 200€ on the Nike.com website and at authorized retailers. Originally intended for women, the pair has attracted men and has increased its price drastically. 4986 pairs have been sold over the last 12 months at an average price of 1500€ on the most famous marketplaces. This represents an increase of 750% of the initial price. This makes it the second most resold pair in the year 2021.
This pair has proven to be very profitable for those who grabbed it from the beginning, the Jordan 4 Retro Off-White Sail (W) is therefore one of the queens of the years 2020/2021.
